James L. Lundwall

March 4, 1959 — May 24, 2024

James “Jim” Leslie Lundwall, 65, was called to heaven on Friday, May 24, 2024. He was born March 4, 1959 to Lloyd and Joyce (Carne) Lundwall in Stambaugh, Michigan. Lloyd was unable to meet his baby boy as Lloyd passed away in 1958 from a work accident. James was blessed with an amazing stepfather, George Davies when Joyce remarried and they were relocated down to North Fond du lac in 1973. He attended North Fond du Lac where he excelled in academics as well as sports including varsity football. He graduated in 1977. That move also gave him the opportunity to meet the love of his life, Sharon Krebsbach. They wed on June 13, 1981. During these 43 years together they welcomed two beautiful daughters, Melissa and Heather. James was blessed to be a grandfather to four beautiful grandchildren.

James attended Moraine Park and obtained his Journeyman's card. He was employed at Wells Manufacturing in the tool room for most of his career.

James enjoyed hunting and fishing starting at a young age. Trout fishing and deer hunting weekend were some of his favorite times of the year, except for when Packer season started. He also enjoyed camping with the family. James will be missed by many.

He will always be remembered for his contagious smile and calming presence.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; two daughters, Melissa Lundwall (fiancé, Willie Vangorder) and Heather (Michael) Richardson; four grandchildren, Sylas, Hadley, Elena, Reed; his mother, Joyce Davies; sister, Janet (Jim) Tilkens; brothers, George (Sandy) Lundwall and Lloyd (Ellen) Lundwall. He is further survived by his in-laws, Lyle (Penny) Krebsbach, Wayne (Jane) Krebsbach, James (Peggy) Krebsbach and Cheryl (Mike) Krueger. His memory will also be cherished by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Also, Renae Patrick whom he called as his daughter.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Lundwall; stepfather, George Davies; father and mother-in-law, Wilmer and Aurelia Krebsbach.

The visitation will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at church on Saturday.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Jim’s name.

We thank SSM Hospice for the great care they gave him at the end of life. Also, Edenbrook of Fond du Lac where he resided following his devastating diagnosis of dementia that he battled for over 10 years.
