James P. Croninger

James "Jim" P. Croninger, 60, of 919 Hawthorne Place, Fond du Lac, died Monday, March 10, 2008 at his residence. He was born the son of Basil and Katherine Corrigan Croninger on June 22, 1947 in Beaver Dam. On June 21, 1977 he married Pauline M. Ryan in Fond du Lac. Jim was in the US Navy during the Vietnam War serving in the Construction Battalion. He worked for the City of Fond du Lac for many years retiring in November 2002. Jim was a member of the Eagles Aerie #270, Fond du Lac. He enjoyed hunting, playing blackjack, traveling, playing sheepshead and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.SURVIVORS: his wife, Pauline "Gert"; one daughter, Shannon (Thomas) Foth, Fond du Lac; one son, Craig (Jill) Croninger, Union Grove, WI; three grandchildren, Zachary, Alexa and Yvonne; one sister, Linda (John) Amberson, Greenville, WI; one brother, Michael (Betty) Croninger, Oshkosh; his Golden Retriever, Maggie; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.



VISITATION: will be from 10AM "“ 12 Noon on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at Noon on Thursday, at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.A memorial has been established in Jim's name.
