James (Carroll) Stacey, A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, passed away at Habor Haven June 3rd, 2024. Born and raised by Lillian (Galow) Stacey in Fond du Lac, WI, James dedicated his career to Mercury Marine.
James honorably served his country in the Army, exemplifying his unwavering commitment to service and patriotism. After his military service, he returned to Fond du Lac and married Carol Meyer. Together, they were blessed with two sons, Mark Stacey and Robert (Jean) Stacey.
Following Carol's passing, James found love again with Coral Kurth, forming a blended family. Coral brought her daughter, Gaile (Joel) Schoepke, and son-in-law, Steve (Stephany)Tolzman, into James’ life, further expanding his family.
James’ legacy lives on through his cherished grandchildren: Dylan Stacey, Tyler Stacey, Karson Erdmann (Jeremiah), Ashley Sarandos (Jacob), Austin Stacey, Kaylie Tovar, Christina Luther (Shane), and Luke Tolzman. He was also blessed with three great-grandchildren Graycen, Jackson, and Zeni.
James will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, and the kindness he showed everyone he met. His life was a testament to the values of love, service, and community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will love on in the hearts of his family and friends, including Bob and Karen Mueller, and Dawn Mueller-Stacey.
James is survived by his two sons Mark Stacey and Robert (Jean) Stacey and one brother Kenneth (Donna) Stacey, and many nieces and nephews. Proceeding him in death were his parents Theadore and Lillian Stacey, Wives Carol Stacey, and Coral Kurth, brother and sister-in-law George Stacey and Ethel (Ozzie) Stacey and his friend Belva Mitwede.
A private service will be held on June 12th to honor James’ life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice Hope in Fond du Lac in his memory.
