Jane Ann Notbohm-Daffin, the daughter of Lt. Col. William and Letitia Notbohm, passed away on May 1, 2014 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Jane was born August 2, 1944 in Madison, Wisconsin.Jane graduated from St. Andrews Priory in Honolulu, Hawaii. She attended Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin and Riverside Hospital Nursing Program in Newport News, Virginia where she met and married Dr. Sidney A. Daffin. Jane worked as a journalist in Colorado, while her then husband completed his residency program. Upon moving to Panama City, Florida, Jane finished her Nursing Degree at Gulf Coast Community College. Jane worked as a Registered Nurse in Florida, California and Wisconsin. While residing in Panama City, Jane served on the Junior Service League, volunteered with SO Hope (a Catholic Social Services program for unwed mothers), taught Sunday school at Wallace Memorial Presbyterian Church, served on the Bay Memorial Hospital Medical Auxiliary and participated in St. Andrews Bay Yacht Club Regattas where she was a member. Jane was a member of the Daughters Of The American Revolution.Jane is survived by two daughters, Maryann Daffin and Shelby Daffin both of Panama City, Florida, three grandchildren Ashley and Emily Brock of Cornelia, Georgia and Sidney Christian Burt of Panama City, her Mother, Letitia Notbohm of Fond du Lac, two sisters; Barbara Derlein of Pearland, Texas and Mary Forbes of Fond du Lac. Three brothers; William Notbohm of Moon Township, PA., Douglas Notbohm of Eau Claire, WI., and Peter Notbohm of Fond du Lac and ten nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her Father, Lt. Col. William R. Notbohm.
A private family service will take place at Calvary Chapel and The Cremation Gardens in Fond du Lac.
