HochsteinJanet Doreen Hochstein (Nordby) 63, Wife, beloved Mother and best friend returned home to Jesus, Sunday, August 27, 2006, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, after suffering a heart attack on August 25th. She passed quietly surrounded by her family. She was born July 22, 1943, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Harold and Lila Peltenon Nordby. Janet graduated from Rufus King High School in Milwaukee. She attended Columbia School of Nursing where she graduated as an R.N. Janet married her high school sweetheart, Dale Hochstein on May 22, 1965. In 1980, Dale and Janet purchased Eaton's Fresh Pizza in Fond du Lac. Janet was very active in the family business. Janet was a member of Grace Reformed Church in Fond du Lac, and was active in the Church library and served on other committees. Janet enjoyed her home and garden. She deeply loved her children and grandchildren. Dale and Janet enjoyed camping, traveling, and just being together. They have three children, Jason (Michele) Hochstein, Bryan (Susan) Hochstein, and Amanda Hochstein, all of Oshkosh. Four grandchildren, Rachel, Matthias, Cody, and Sophie further survive her. She is also survived by a brother, Harold Nordby, of Brooksville, FL, an aunt, Dolly Zeller, of Menomonee Falls, WI, an uncle, Roger Peltenon, of Marengo, WI, cousins, and numerous friends. Her parents, a brother, Norman Nordby, and a sister, Nancy Kollatz, preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mrs. Janet Doreen Hochstein will be on Thursday, August 31, 2006, from 2 to 5:30 pm at Grace Reformed Church, 163 19th Street, Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be at 5:30 pm at the church on Thursday. The Rev. Barry Vegter will officiate and burial will on Friday, September 1, 2006, at 10 am at Rienzi Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to Grace Reformed Church or Youth For Christ of Fond du Lac.
