Janet R. Clochesy, age 88, a lifelong resident of Fond du Lac, passed away on Sunday, November 09, 2014 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home after a brief illness, with her family by her side. She was born on July 3, 1926 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Arthur and Dorothy Klawitter. She was a 1944 graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School. On July 5, 1952 she married DuWayne F. Clochesy. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1990.
Janet was a very kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed working at Sears in Fond du Lac for several years. She loved family gatherings as well as creating beautiful gifts for her family. Each of her great-grandchildren received a handcrafted gift for Christmas…which included dogs, rabbits, frogs, and beautiful dolls. These gifts will be very special remembrances of her for each of them. She enjoyed knitting, baking, reading, playing cards, crossword puzzles, and taking walks. Janet was a longtime member of St. Patrick’s Church and currently a member of Holy Family Parish.
SURVIVORS: two sons, Mike (Lois) Clochesy of Neenah, Thomas (Ken Felix) Clochesy of Oshkosh, two daughters, Sandra (Rick) Gietzel of Eldorado, and Lisa (Tom) Compton of Fond du Lac; son in law, Joseph (Deb) Schneider of Fond du Lac; ten grandchildren, Katie (Jeremy) Anhalt, Kevin Schneider, Jeffrey (Jessica) Clochesy, Erin (Jared) Long, Bradley Clochesy, Sarah (Michael) Gumtow, Daniel (Andria Roberts) Gietzel, Matthew Gietzel, Jennifer (Nick) Streeter, Anthony (Megan) Compton, thirteen great-grandchildren; special friends, Margaret, Myrna, Pat, Madge, and all her friends at St. Peter’s Place; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, DuWayne, her daughter Janell Schneider in 2003, her parents Arthur and Dorothy Klawitter, and her brother Robert (Marie) Klawitter.
VISITATION: Tuesday, November 11, 2014 from 4-8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. FUNERAL: Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday morning from 9:30 A.M. until the time services. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
