Janet S. Julka, of 700 Mequon Avenue, died Saturday, November 24, 2007, at her residence. She was born January 9, 1934, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Joseph J. and Anna M. Brunet Bothe. On October 20, 1956, she married Donald N. Julka at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1996. Janet was a member of Holy Family Parish-Sacred Heart Church. Prior to her retirement in 1999, she served as Chairman of The Board of Hansen Refrigeration Machinery Company, Inc. Mrs. Julka was a member of Lady Elks/Elks Auxiliary of Elks Lodge #57.Survivors include a son, Jeffrey, of Fond du Lac, and granddaughters Kimberly Julka, US Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD, and Bethany Julka, Butler University, Indianapolis, IN, a daughter, Jane (Dean) Minardi of Duluth, MN; and grandchildren, Nicholas of Duluth and Mitchell of Bemidji State University, Bemidji, MN, J.R. (Mary Liz) Julka of Fond du Lac, and grandchildren John Richard Jr., and Kathleen Cary Julka, both of Fond du Lac, and a son, James of Milwaukee. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Linda Bothe of Mexico, nephews, Bill (Betsy) Bothe of Park City, UT, David (Ellen) Torkelson of San Francisco, CA, Michael (Vickie) Julka of Madison, WI, and Peter (Debra) Julka, also of Madison, and a niece, Jeanne Torkelson of Denver, CO. Her parents, husband, two brothers, Donald and Ronald (Harvey) Bothe, a sister-in-law, Lucile (Ivar) Torkelson, and a brother-in-law, O. J. " Joe" (Gloria) Julka preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mrs. Janet S. Julka will be on Monday, November 26, 2007, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at 9:45 am from Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am from Sacred Heart Church, 232 S. Peters Avenue, Fond du Lac. The Rev. Melvin Breit will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery beside of her husband. A memorial has been established in Janet's name.
