Janice Marie Skaar

Janice Marie Skaar, age 77, of North Fond du Lac, died Monday, October 28, 2024, at Lakeshore Manor in Oshkosh. She was born in 1947, in Cherokee, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Irene (Larson) Hanson. Janice grew up in Iowa. She met Benny Lee Skaar on a blind date in Iowa. They went on to marry on June 8, 1969. Janice was a very active Christian and a member at Divine Savior Ev. Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac. She worked at Target for fifteen years and was known as the “Target Lady”.

Survivors include her husband, Benny Lee Skaar; her children, Anita (Tim) Salinas, Lee (Robyn) Skaar, Ann (Bob) Bubb; four grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Carolyn. 

Visitation will take place on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Divine Savior Ev. Lutheran Church, 1081 Prospect Ave, North Fond du Lac, WI, 54937. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the church at 3:00 PM. A dessert bar will be provided in Janice’s memory at church following the service. Cremation has taken place.
