Javan F. "Bud" Breiner

September 12, 1911 — July 22, 2011

Javan Frank 'Bud' Breiner, 99, formerly of Oshkosh, was born into eternal life on July 22, 2011 after a brief stay at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. He was born in Mandan, North Dakota on December 9, 1911, the son of Michael and Anna Breiner. On September 12, 1933, Javan married Eleanor Ripple in Mandan, North Dakota. Javan proudly and courageously served his country during WWII in the United States Navy in the Asiatic-Pacific theatre. Upon the end of his tour he returned to Oshkosh, Wisconsin where his wife Eleanor and their two daughters had relocated while he was away defending his country. Javan worked for 35 years as a heavy equipment operator for Ganther Construction in Oshkosh. He was very proud of his contributions to changing the Fox Valley landscape with the construction of numerous schools, churches, office buildings, banks and government offices. He was a lifetime member of the Operating Engineers Local 139. Those Bud leaves behind to cherish his memory include his daughter, Joanne (Donald)Walters of Fond du Lac, two sisters, Ruth Balch of Walla Walla WA, and Eileen Bodker of Tacoma WA, Son-in- Law David Erdmann of Colorado Springs CO, six grandchildren, Deborah Cohen of Colorado Springs CO, Timothy (Linda) Walters of Ansbach Germany, Michael (Patricia) Walters of Stevens Point, Dr. Jeffrey (Rebecca)Walters of Fond du Lac WI , Darcel Erdmann of Colorado Springs CO and Lori(Timothy) Kraemer of Plattsburg NY, eleven great grandchildren - Michael and MeganCohen and Cheyenne Barnard of Colorado Springs CO, Zachary and Austin Walters of Fond du Lac WI, Cody and Coiy Walters of Stevens Point WI, Elizabeth and Christopher Walters of Ansbach Germany and Owen and Amlalisc Walters-Kraemer of Plattsburg NY. Javan was welcomed into Paradise by his parents, his wife Eleanor, his daughter Jean (David) Erdmann, all of his brothers, Walter, Hemy, Lloyd, Robert, Claude, and Kenny and his sisters, Mable, Wilmuth, and Anne



At Javan's request, no services will be held. He will be cremated and his remains will be interned in his final resting place at the St. Johns cemetery in Mandan, North Dakota,beside his beloved Eleanor and family members.Javan's family would like to thank Dr. Michael Sergi and the nurses and staff of the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac for all their care and love in making his final days as peaceful and comfortable as possible.Memorials are appreciated in 'Buds' memory to the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac WI.
