Jayme Ann Nagle, 31, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. She was born June 6, 1986 at Theda Clark, the daughter of James and Kathleen Cahill Nagle.
Jayme graduated from Fond du Lac High School in 2005 and earned her Bachelors and Masters of Nursing degrees from Marian University in Fond du Lac. She graduated with honors. She was currently enrolled in Alverno College's Nurse Practitioner Program and was one class away from graduation.
Jayme was a Nursing Professor at Marian, where she had a passion for teaching and seeing her students succeed. She also worked as an RN for Agnesian's Palliative Care and Hospice Programs. Jayme loved music, and her honor of band student of the year remains on the wall of Fond du Lac High School to this day. She was a Girl Scout Gold Award recipient as well as the recipient of many academic and musical honors during her education. She enjoyed traveling, spending time on tropical beaches and water. A caring and determined young woman, she loved spending time with her family. Jayme loved her pets; her cat, Shelly Bean and her Goldendoodle, Penny Blossom and the puppy she raised, Emmy.
Jayme was a strong fighter and advocate for what she believed in. Her students and patients always came first. Jayme frequently said "Doctors should listen to Nurses, but they never do." When that exact prophecy came true, she was given the infection she could not defeat. Jayme spent the last year of her life helping her mom, protecting her and staying at her side through a life threatening illness and lengthy rehabilitation. Her devotion to her family knew no bounds.
She is survived by her mother, Kathy Nagle of Fond du Lac and her brother, Andrew Nagle of Oshkosh. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Jayme is greatly missed by her Mom and brother, who will always cherish the memories of the adventures and trips that they shared.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Avenue, Fond du Lac, WI. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. A public memorial celebration of Jayme’s life will be held at Marian University, where her students were the center of her life, on Friday, September 29, 2017 in the Dorcas Chapel at 12:00 PM.
During senior high school festivities, Jayme wrote that she left Fondy High saying, “Only a life lived in the service to others is worthwhile,” and she brought that quote to life.
