Jean C. Novshek

Jean C. Novshek, 85, born October 21, 1924 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Walter Nelson and Leah Schultz. She married Anthony Novshek in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death. Jean was very active in the Republican Party in Milwaukee and Madison; she was one of Governor Tommy Thompson's secretaries, former 5th District Republican Party Chairperson, and former Election Commissioner. She is survived by two children, Keith (Linda) Mauntler,of Brothertown, WI; Mark Schuller,of LaCrosse, WI; four grandchildren, Kelly (Marc) Haberli, Sarah Mauntler, Neil (Elizabeth) Mauntler, Joseph Mauntler, four great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, and Owen Haberli, and Macy Mauntler. Step children, John Novshek, Kathleen Korbish, Carol Christensen, William Novshek and Sandra Metzger, along with loving grandchildren. VISITATION: Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 2-4 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI. FUNERAL: Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 4:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the traditional services.
