Jean M. Wollum

Jean M. Wollum, 86, died Monday, December 31, 2007 at Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac. She was born the daughter of the late William and Prudence Turney on March 28, 1921 in Moline, IL. She grew up in Owen, WI, graduating from Owen High School in 1939. She attained a Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics from Stout Institute in 1943 and taught Home Economics at Eagle River High School for many years. Jean was active in her church and in the Order of Eastern Star. Jean and William R. Wollum were married on April 19, 1943. They lived in Owen and Eagle River, WI. They moved to Fond du Lac in 2001, residing at Lakeview Estates.SURVIVORS: her husband of almost 65 years, Bill Wollum, Fond du Lac; her daughter, B.J. (Dan) Belzer, St. Peter; her son, Joel (Nancy) Wollum, Middlebury, VT. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Kim (Joe) Hughes, Madison, WI, Kurt (Lisa) Belzer, Herndon, VA, Rachel Wollum, Middlebury, VT, Emma Wollum, Cardiff, Wales; one great-grandchild, AlliJo Hughes.



A memorial service will be held at Lakeview Estates, 517 Luco Road, Fond du Lac, on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 11 AM. Cremation has taken place.Memorials may be directed to St. Agnes Hospice Home of Hope.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
