Jeffery J. “Jeff” Mand, 51, of Fond du Lac, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born in Fond du Lac on Thursday, December 21, 1967 to Paul and Roseann (Emerich) Mand, Sr. On Saturday, October 24, 1992, Jeff married Arlene Merten at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg.
Jeff’s family was very important to him and for seven years, he coached his son, Kyle, in baseball. He enjoyed shooting pool and loved the outdoors. Jeff worked many years for his brother at Integrity Saw and Tool. He was very proud when he was able to start his own business; Preferred Tooling and Supply. Jeff will always be remembered for his infectious personality, his quick wit, his willingness to help or at least supervise projects and the fact that he always had a bucket full of ice and a beverage to serve.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene; three children, Ashley Mand, Kyle Mand, and Hailey Mand (Jared Drummond); his mother, Roseann Mand; three siblings, Richard (Jackie) Mand, Janet (Michael) Schneider and Paul (Lisa) Mand, Jr.; his father-in-law, Lawrence Merten; two brothers-in-law, Allan (Rosie) Merten and Arlyn Merten; three sisters-in-law, Ann Schmitz, Alice Merten and Audrey Merten; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul, Sr.; a brother, Charles Mand; and his mother-in-law, Mary Ellen Merten.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. A Memorial Service will follow the visitation, beginning at 7:00 PM. Cremation has taken place.
Jeff’s final act of kindness was giving the gift of life to others through organ and tissue donation.
The family wishes to thank the 1st Responders both the EMT’s and Paramedics as well as the ER and ICU teams at St. Agnes. And lastly, thank you for the outpouring of love and support from family and friends during this difficult time.
