Jeffrey J. Keenlance, 56, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. He was born in Fond du Lac on October 29, 1955, the son of Ralph and Marjorie Miller Keenlance. He graduated from L. P. Goodrich High School in 1974. Jeff had many various and interesting occupations until he returned to Fond du Lac and retired due to failing health. Jeff managed restaurants in Madison, was a police dispatcher, and finally moved to Las Vegas where he spent over 15 years as a casino dealer at the Rio, meeting the famous and not so famous. He most recently worked at Forest Mall in customer service. Jeff had a quick wit and as he said himself, a storehouse of useless knowledge, with which he could beat most anyone in trivia. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time with his lifelong friends in their quest to pick the American Idol winner each year. Jeff also enjoyed being the "daddy" to his two cats, B. J. (Black Jack) and Cass (Casino).SURVIVORS: his mother, Marge Keenlance; his brother, Jerry (Diana) Jansen, Waunakee; his sisters, Julie (John) Coffey and Jeanne (Steve) Halfmann, both of Fond du Lac. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph in 1969.
VISITATION: will be from 10 AM "“ 11:30 AM on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Stubbs officiating. Cremation has taken place.In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to the American Heart Association.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
