Jeffrey J. Mc Carthy, age 48, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Hospice Home of Hope after a courageous two year battle with lung cancer and a twenty-two year battle with pancreatitis. He was born on September 24, 1965 in Fond du Lac, the son of John and Anne (Boyle) Mc Carthy. On June 30, 2001 he married Amy Conley in Fond du Lac. Jeff attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and was a member of the Delta Chi fraternity. He worked at Moraine Park as a research specialist prior to getting sick. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and a Parrot Head. Jeff enjoyed golfing, and gardening, and loved his dog, Zeta.



SURVIVORS: his wife, Amy of Fond du Lac; his daughter, Mackenzie of Fond du Lac; one brother, John (Joe) Mc Carthy of Fond du Lac; mother in law and father in law, Tim and Gail Conley of Shorewood, IL; sister in law, Krista (Ryan) Arnhoelter of Sheboygan; and many cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.



VISITATION: Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 5-8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Cremation will follow the visitation. Interment will take place at a later date at Calvary Cemetery.



Jeff fought a brave fight and was always strong for his daughter Mackenzie.



In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated towards Mackenzie’s college fund.
