Jeffrey L. Solberg, 71, of Fond du Lac, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, November 10, 2024, at his residence. He was born on January 31, 1953, in Green Bay, the son of Richard Kilishek and Elizabeth Solberg. On February 14, 1977, he married the love of his life, Phyllis Jones, in Fond du Lac. Jeffrey served in the United States Marine Corp. He loved performing Bluegrass music with his family in various bars and nursing homes. He was honored by being inducted into the Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame in 2018. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, and tinkering on various projects. His greatest love was for his family, music, and dog, Chico. Jeffrey is now reunited with his mother, wife, and son.
He is survived by five sons, John (Sarah) Rozek, Jason Solberg, Wes Solberg, Jeff “JJ” (Ashley) Solberg, and Travis (Briana) Solberg; three grandchildren, Tyler Solberg, Hailey Solberg, and Oliver Rozek; six siblings, Ricky (Barb), Greg, Terry (Annette), Patty, Michael, and Sheila Kilishek, whom all looked up to their older brother and he took care of them through the good times and the bad; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Elizabeth; wife, Phyllis; son, Josh; and daughter-in-law, Gwen Solberg.
The visitation will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 11:30 AM, with entombment to follow at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
