Jerome H. Diederichs

Jerome H. Diederichs, 85, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born December 18, 1930 in Johnsburg, the son of Albert and Priska Sabel Diederichs. He attended St. John School in Johnsburg. On October 8, 1955 he married Joan A. Birschbach at Holy Cross Church in Mt. Calvary and they celebrated 60 years of marriage. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Korea. Jerome worked for Tecumseh in New Holstein for 36 years, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed yard work and gardening, football and baseball, boating, snowmobiling, traveling and being a handyman to many.



He is survived by his wife, Joan Diederichs; one brother, Gerald (Bernice) Diederichs of St. Peter; one sister, Edna (Donald) Nadler of Stockbridge; sisters-in-law, Rita Diederichs, Betty Birschbach, Rosie Birschbach all of Mt. Calvary, and Dolly Birschbach of Brookfield; brother-in-law, Jim Birschbach of Malone; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Melvin Diederichs; brothers and sisters-in-law.



The visitation will be held from 9:00 – 11:00 am on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Holy Family Parish. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Peter Catholic Church with Rev. Max Tzul officiating. Entombment will follow in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.



A memorial has been established in Jerome’s name.
