Jerome Paul Jaye

Mr. Jerome Paul Jaye, 78, of North Fond du Lac and seasonally in Tucson, AZ, died in Tucson on May 19, 2005. He was born June 27, 1926, in Milwaukee, a son of Theodore and Emily. He married Jeanette Elizabeth Bachhuber in 1947 in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death in 1995. Mr. Jaye was a member of the Church of The Presentation-North Fond du Lac. He was formerly employed by the Milwaukee Fire Department for 32 years, and later by the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department as a dispatcher. He was a veteran of WW II serving with the US Army, and was a former member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks. He was a member of the Milwaukee Firemen's Relief Association and the St. Jude League.Surviving is a son, Jerome J. (Linda) Jaye of North Fond du Lac, two granddaughters, Rebecca A. Jaye of Fond du Lac, and Ginger A. (James) Holzman of Fond du Lac, nine great-grandchildren, a sister, Eleanore Eschenbach, of Milwaukee, four sisters-in-law, Alice (Harry) Maslowski, Ann (Richard) Schilz, and Alydda Bachhuber, all of Milwaukee, and Darlene Bachhuber of FL, and a Very Special Friend, Evelyn Sommerville of Tucson, AZ. Many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends further survive him. His parents, wife, two brothers, Gene and John, a sister, Margaret Cira, two brothers-in-law, Robert Bachhuber and Ralph Bachhuber, and a sister-in-law and her husband, Dorothy and Clarence Prei, preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Jerome Paul Jaye will be on Friday, June 3, 2005, from 10 to 11 am at Church of The Presentation-North Fond du Lac. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am at the church of Friday, June 3, 2005. The Rev. John Simon will officiate. Cremation has taken place and inurnment of cremated remains will be in Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
