Jerry D. Pausma, 44, of W471 Chickadee Drive, Town of Forest, died Friday, May 13, 2005, in the Town of Forest as the result of an automobile accident. He was born September 10, 1960, in Waupun, a son of Dewey and Lois Greenfield Pausma. On February 11, 2004, he married Tracy Rockow (Hintz) in Jamaica. They later reaffirmed their vows at the Cathedral of St. Paul on March 27, 2004. Mr. Pausma was a member of the Cathedral of St. Paul. He was a 1978 graduate of Waupun High School and later received his Associate Degree from Moraine Park Technical College at Eau Claire in Police Science, and had been employed by the State Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer since February 20, 1984, currently working at the Waupun Correctional Institute. Jerry was an avid sportsman, participating in adult basketball leagues, and coaching youth basketball and football. He loved basketball, both as a fan and a player. He was a very devoted father, a loving husband, and lived life to the fullest.Surviving is his wife, Tracy, two sons, Tyler and Tom, both at home, a step-daughter, Anna Marie Ebling and a step-son, Joe Ebling, both at home, four brothers, Phil Pausma of Marshall, WI, Paul (Special Friend, Laura) Pausma of Fond du Lac, Jeff (Melissa) Pausma and Mike (Desirae) Pausma all of Fox Lake, WI, a sister, Karen Pausma of Beaver Dam, WI, his parents, Dewey and Lois Pausma of Waupun, a granddaughter, Hailey Ebling, 12 nephews, five nieces, and a great-nephew. A sister, Mary Landaal, and his maternal and paternal grandparents preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Jerry D. Pausma will be on Wednesday, May 18, 2005, from 4 to 7 pm at Cathedral of St. Paul. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at 7pm at the Cathedral of St. Paul. The Very Rev. Ted McConnell will officiate and cremation will follow. A memorial has been established in Mr. Pausma's name. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
