Jina Marie Weed

October 31, 1962 — October 4, 2022

Jina Marie Weed, 59, passed away, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 after a short battle with cancer. Our “Gigi” was known by many and loved by all who knew her.

She was born on October 31, 1962 to Dean and Barb Caves. While growing up, she loved to spend time at her lake cottage, learning how to water ski, and playing alongside her older brother, Jeff. In high school, she met her husband, Quay, in Rosendale, Wisconsin. They recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on September 18, 2022. She spent most of her time with her three boys, Mitch, Jordan, and Kieran (taking them to baseball or basketball tournaments). She also worked as a hairstylist for many years; her clients became an extension of her family.

Jina “Gigi” enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and her nine grandchildren. She loved to spoil everyone around her, and always put others first, especially those grandchildren. She also loved to knit, cook (especially a large Thanksgiving dinner), travel, and watch the sunsets on her pontoon overlooking Green Lake.

She is survived by her husband, Quay Weed, of Green Lake; three sons, Mitch (Jennifer) Weed of Slinger; Jordan (Amanda) Weed of Eldorado; Kieran (Apryl) Weed of Eldorado; brother, Jeff (Sonna) Caves of Birchwood, WI. Her nine grandchildren were her world, Emerson, Laken, Rowan, Isla, Hazel, Micah, Bronson, Holland, and Ashlyn. She is further survived by her mother-in-law, Audrey Weed of Pickett and sisters-in-law, Dee Harmsen of Ripon, and Val (Steve) Parker of Fond du Lac, as well as other nieces, nephews and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Barb Caves; father-in-law, Byron Weed; and brother-in-law, Guy Weed.

At this time, the family respectfully honors Jina’s wishes to have a private ceremony to honor and celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, a donation account has been set up in Jina’s name at any National Exchange Bank.

Services are in the care of Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 North Park Avenue, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Additional information and guestbook can be found at ueckerwitt.com
