Joan M. Mcmillen

Joan M. McMillen, 80, passed away Wednesday September 3, 2014 at ManorCare Health Services in Fond du Lac. She was born February 17, 1934 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Richard and Marie (Buer) Evans. On January 30, 1951 she married David Heise at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1981. On July 13, 1984 she married Jim McMillen in Antigo. He preceded her in death on October 1, 2012.



She loved crocheting and visiting the Menominee casino in Keshena.



Surviving Joan is her daughter Dixie (David) Borchert and son Alan (Joy) Heise, three sisters; Dolly Barber, Jenny (George) Higgens and Judy (Bill) Higgens, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two cousins and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her two husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Edward (Helen) Evans and Richard Evans, Jr., two sisters; Dorothy (Art) Sonnenburg and Sally (Gilbert) Kryzynowski and one great-grandson, Josiah Heise.



FUNERAL INFORMATION



A visitation for Joan will be held from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Tuesday September 9, 2014 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Jennifer C.M. Dawson officiating. Burial will follow in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. Cremation has already taken place.
