Joan M. Nett

JOAN M. NETTJoan M. Nett, age 78 a resident of Manor Care Health services died Thursday, July 29,2010at the nursing center. She was born in Peebles on May 31, 1932 the daughter of Louis P.and Eleanor C. Fritz. In 1971 she married Jerry Valladao in Mountain View, California.They later divorced in 1977. Joan received her Bachelor's of Science in Nursingfrom Marian College and her Master's Degree in Professional Development with emphasisin Counseling from University of Wisconsin- Stout. She taught nursing at Moraine Park Institutein Fond du Lac. Joan served as a public health nurse in Minocqua and Eau Claire. She also worked at the University of Kentucky Medical Center and the Veteran's Medical Center in Palo Alto, California. She enjoyed gardening, photography, quilting, and bible studies. SURVIVORS: two brothers, Eugene (Carol) Nett, Portage, Bruce (Joyce) Nett, of Stoughton, one sister Virginia (Richard) Peter, Winter, WI, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers Louis Jr., James, and Roger, and two sisters Doreen Wanatka, Mary Esther Nett. VISITATION: Friends may call on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 from 12 Noon-1 PM, at Holy Family-St. Peter's Parish, St. Peter. FUNERAL: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 1 PM at Holy Family- St. Peter's Parish, St. Peter, with Rev. Victor Capriolo officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Parish Cemetery
