John E. "Jack" EggersJohn E. "Jack" Eggers, 67, of 40 15th Street, died Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at his residence. He was born March 31, 1937, in Fond du Lac, a son of Elmer and Frances Scherer Eggers. On May 14, 1960, he married Catharine Amrhein at Church of Our Saviour Evangelical Lutheran. Mr. Eggers was a member of Church of Our Saviour Evangelical Lutheran. He was employed as a machinist by Mercury Marine for 39 years, retiring in October of 1999. Jack was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving from 1954-1957. He was an avid sportsman.Surviving is his wife, Catharine, a daughter, Denise (Jeffery) Birschbach of Mt. Calvary, a son, John A. Eggers of North Fond du Lac, two grandchildren, Kimberly and Ryan Birschbach, both of Mt. Calvary, two sisters, Winnifred Roloff of Fond du Lac and Jean (Arden) Hjelle of Oakfield, and a brother, Charles Eggers of Fond du Lac. He is further survived by three brothers-in-law, Frank (Edna) Amrhein of Fond du Lac, Casper "Cap" (Kay "Casey") Amrhein of Eldorado, and Charles (Dorothy) Amrhein of Fond du Lac, two sisters-in-law, Judy (James) Edwards of Fairborn, OH and Jo Ann Amrhein of Cincinnati, OH, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends. His parents, a sister, Mary Mae Parish, three brothers-in-law, Joseph Parish, Arnold Roloff, Sr., and Orlin Amrhein, and his stepfather, George Gruenwald, Sr. preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. John E. "Jack" Eggers will be on Monday, November 22, 2004, from 2 to 4 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Memorial services will be at 4 pm on Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Duane C. Wisner will officiate. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Hospice Hope or the American Cancer Society.
