John F. Baeten Iii

July 26, 1934 — February 23, 2017

John F. Baeten III, 82 of Oshkosh, died Thursday, February 23, 2017 at his residence. He was born July 26, 1934 in Wrightstown, WI, the son of John C. and Marie (Vander Heiden) Baeten. On August 20, 1964 he married Maureen R. Cummings and she preceded him in death on January 6, 2011. John was a home improvement contractor installing siding, roofing and gutters. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, his animals, mowing the lawn, and especially loved being with family.



He is survived by his six children, Kim Marie (David Dubiski) McGee of Crystal Lake, Maria Johnson of Escanaba, MI, John (Donna) Baeten of Fond du Lac, Ronald (Brenda Carey) Baeten of Oshkosh, Jerry Baeten of Hilbert, and Tina Marie (Carl Boeck) Sterr of Red Granite: 18 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one sister, Rita Martzahl of Wrightstown; sisters-in-law, Helen Baeten, Carol Baeten, and Shirley Baeten, He was preceded in death by his parents: his wife, Maureen; five brothers, Robert, Marvin, Clayton, James, and Edward; two sisters, Agnes Ganzyk and Leona Merkel.



The visitation will be held from 3:00 – 6:00 PM on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.

The memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place.
