John G. Cotter

John G. "Curly" CotterJohn G. "Curly" Cotter, 87, formerly of N8644 Lakeview Road, Town of Taycheedah, died Sunday, September 12, 2004, at Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mt. Calvary. He was born November 12, 1916, in Stratford, WI, a son of John and Pauline Hughes Cotter. On May 30, 1963, he married Marion Thome at St. Mary's Church in Fond du Lac. Mr. Cotter was a member of Holy Family parish-St. Peter Church, St. Peter. John was formerly employed by Petrie's Restaurant as a bartender from 1955 to 1984 when he retired. He was a veteran of WW II serving with the US Army. John enjoyed sports, playing golf, and was an avid Packer fan. He also liked reading, especially about history and sports trivia. Surviving is his wife, Marion, and a daughter, Marian Cotter, of Arlington, VA. His parents, a sister, Marge Brunet, and three brothers, Pat, Vernon, and James preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. John G. "Curly" Cotter will be on Thursday, September 16, 2004, from 4 to 7 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Liturgy of The Word memorial services will be on Thursday, September 16, 2004, at 7 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Deacon Larry Hughes of Holy Family parish will officiate and inurnment of cremated remains will be in St. Charles Cemetery. Additional information and guest book may be found at www.ueckerwitt.com
