John J. Heisler

John J. Heisler, 90 of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, December 25, 2014 at the St. Francis Home. He was born September 17, 1924 in the Town of Ashford the son of Leo N. and Laura Flasch Heisler. On November 28, 1968 he married Mary L. Kay in Fond du Lac. John worked at Cole Oil, Lomira, Gehl Company,West Bend and Johnson Bus Service, Fond du Lac for whom he drove school bus for 25 years. He was a member of Holy Family Parish where he ushered for over 40 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #664. He volunteered at St. Agnes Hospital and Galloway House and Village. John enjoyed gardening, traveling and dancing.

SURVIVORS: John is survived by his wife Mary Heisler, Fond du Lac, one brother Leo F. (Marge) Heisler, West Bend, and one sister Laura Heisler, West Bend. He is further survived by two nieces, Sue (Tom) Malingowski, Oconto Falls, Nancy (Brian) Sckeres, Fillmore, one nephew Richard (Barbara) Heisler, Campbellsport, and one sister-in-law Dolores Spardau, Campbellsport. He was preceded in death by one brother James and two sisters; Marie (Werner) Hug, Virginia Heisler. And one brother-in-law Eldon Spardau.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Monday, December 29,2014 from 5 to 7 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Memorial services will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Ruth Ann Ross of Holy Family Parish will officiate. Cremation has taken place with inurnment at a later date at Martell Lutheran Cemetery, Spring Valley, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to Agnesian Hospice Hope, Agnesian Healthcare Foundation or the donor’s choice.
