John L. Brown

John L. Brown, 81, formerly of 615 Stow Street, died Sunday, December 25, 2005. at All About Life Rehabilitation Center, where he had been a resident since August. He was born August 13, 1924, in Detroit, MI, the son of Earl and Hollis McElroy Brown. On July 3, 1981, he married Karen Miller in Sheboygan. Mr. Brown was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving as a pilot. Following his service, he was a member and head of the Caterpillar Club, an organization reserved for pilots who had successfully ejected from a jet airplane. John was formerly employed by American Motors of Kenosha, and later by J.I. Case Equipment of Racine.Surviving is his wife, Karen, three sons, David Brown of Cleveland, WI, Scott (Dana) Brown of Simpsonville, SC, and Clinton Brown of Beaver Dam, WI, and a daughter, Kathy Brown of Jamestown, NY. He is further survived by six stepsons, Don Kallerud of Fond du Lac, Michael Kallerud of Madison, Terrence Kallerud of Fond du Lac, Jim (Karen) Kallerud of Madison, Bradlee Kallerud of Waupun, and Kevin (Stacy) Sodke of Sarasota, FL, three stepdaughters, Debbie Vignieri of Fond du Lac, Julie (Mark) Uffenbeck of Appleton, and Sue Cole of Oakfield. Also surviving are many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren. His parents, a brother, and a sister preceded him in death.
