JOHN L. WILLJohn L. Will, 58, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, December 15, 2010 as a result of a traffic accident in Washington County. He was born in Fond du Lac on September 1, 1952 the son of Gilbert A. and Barbara A. Altman Will. He graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1971. On July 14, 1973 he married Karen Halfman at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Fond du Lac. For over 35 years John was employed with the North Fond du Lac School District's maintenance department and also served as the union president for AFSME for many years. John was an active member of Fond du Lac Youth Baseball, donating time to youth baseball, serving as president of Baseball Inc. since 2004 and on the board of directors for the past 23 years. He was a member of Holy Family Church, Fond du Lac. He enjoyed camping, biking, fishing, wood- working, NASCAR, Road America, and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, and proud grandfather. His presence will be greatly missed.Surviving are his wife, Karen of Fond du Lac; three children, Kelly (Stephen) Westphal and their children, Henry and Evelyn of Wind Lake, Ryan (Shanna) Will of Fond du Lac, Kayla (Chad) Clough of Springfield, IL. John is further survived by his mother, Barbara Will of North Fond du Lac; four siblings, Joan (Steven Mathers) Will of Ripon, Jeffrey (Jodi) Will of North Fond du Lac, Jeanne (Jerry) Immel of Fond du Lac, Julie (Dewey Knueppel) Will of Fond du Lac; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Orlando and Marjorie Halfman of Fond du Lac; his in-laws, Gwen (Jeff) Reeck of Middleton, Cynthia (Mike) Bayer of Duluth, MN, Charles (Janet)Halfman of Fond du Lac, Theresa (Dave) Gomach of Neenah, AnnaMarie (Tom) Sosnoski of Oshkosh, Christine (Andy) Whealon of Fond du Lac; many special nieces and nephews. His maternal and paternal grandparents, his father and an infant brother, Joseph preceded him in death.
VISITATION: Friends may call on Sunday, December 19, 2010 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Further visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:00 AM until the services at 10:00 AM. FUNERAL: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 20, 2010 at Holy Family Church, 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac with Rev. Robert Stiefvater officiating. Cremation will follow the traditional services. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to Fond du Lac Youth Baseball.
