Jon W. Kaiser, 71, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac. He was born August 10, 1938 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, the son of William J. and Evelyn M. Mertens Kaiser. On August 12, 1961 Jon married Patricia M. Bristow in Hastings, MN. Jon received his Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO in 1967. He was a guidance counselor, physical education instructor and basketball coach at Valders High School from 1960-1968. From 1968-1977 he was a guidance counselor and basketball coach at West Bend West. Jon then received his certification in administration and served as an administrator at West Bend East for two years. He then became the Principal at New London High School from 1977 "“ 1985. Jon retired in 1995 as principal of Goodrich High School, Fond du Lac. Jon was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Rolling Meadows Golf League and the YMCA. Jon enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, golfing, music, spending the winters in Florida with his wife, Pat, solving crosswords, and was an avid sports fan. Jon also loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and following their sporting events and musical activities.SURVIVORS: his wife, Pat; three children, Brenda (Dan) McFaul, New London, Bill (Nancy) Kaiser, Fond du Lac, Bob (Sara) Kaiser, Winneconne; four grandchildren, Shauna McFaul, Chad McFaul, Robyn McFaul, Jada Kaiser and expecting a granddaughter in December. Jon is further survived by aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Joyce.
VISITATION: will be from 3:30 "“ 7:30 PM on Friday, November 27, 2009 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Saturday from 11:30 AM "“ 1:30 PM at the church. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Hope Lutheran Church with Rev. Arthur Callies officiating. Cremation will follow the traditional services.A memorial will be established in Jon's name.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
