Jonathan David "Jon" Spears

Jonathan “Jon” David Spears, 34 of Fond du Lac, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at his home with his loving wife, Lori at his side. He was born in Fond du Lac on June 9, 1980 to David and Deborah (Holsman) Spears. Jon was a 1998 graduate of Goodrich High School. He was currently employed by Convergys in Appleton.



Jon had a love for history, the weather, reading, movies and all things trivia. He had a quick wit and was known for his great sense of humor. He loved the Green Bay Packers. In high school, Jon managed the basketball team, even winning a free-throw contest at one point. But he treasured his wife Lori the most of anyone or anything. The best day of his life was when they were married on October 18, 2003 at Salem UCC in Plymouth, WI. They were each other’s best friend and shared a true love story. He loved and adored her.



Jon is survived by his wife Lori of Fond du Lac, parents David and Deborah of Jackson, sister Tiffany (Brian) Thiele and their daughter Madeline of Nashville, TN, father and mother-in-law Ross and Margaret Bub of Plymouth, brother-in-law Robert (Rebecca) Bub and their daughter Sophia of Plymouth, sister-in-law Susan (Kyle) Spoelstra and their two sons; Dylan and Toby of Green Bay, uncles, aunts, cousins and numerous friends. Jon is also survived by his very special grandmother, Audrey Spears of Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and maternal grandparents.



A visitation for Jon will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Community Church, N6717 Streblow Drive in Fond du Lac. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM. Cremation has taken place.



In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Jonathan’s name.
