Joseph A. Atkinson

Joseph A. Atkinson, age 24, of North Fond du Lac, died Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital. He was born November 6, 1986 in Fond du Lac, the son of Paul and Mary (Meyer) Atkinson. Joseph was a 2005 graduate of Horace Mann High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a degree in Environmental Geography. He worked for the United States Forest Service, based at the Spotted Bear Ranger Station in Hungry Horse, Montana.Joseph loved the outdoors and conservation; he loved music, going to concerts, sports, and was a very outgoing person in life.SURVIVORS: His parents, Paul and Mary Atkinson of Fond du Lac, sister, Janelle (John) Thornton of Van Dyne, brother, Paul (Brooke) Atkinson of Milwaukee, sister, Andrea (Derrek Olson) Atkinson of Appleton, Joseph's girlfriend, Krystle Schaub of North Fond du Lac, three nieces, Natalie and Daphne Thornton, Piper Atkinson, his maternal grandmother, M. Elizabeth Meyer, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Donald and Genevieve Atkinson, and maternal grandfather, Donald Meyer.



VISITATION: Thursday, December 16, 2010 from 3-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.
