Joseph A. Hess

Joseph A. Hess, age 76, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, March 2, 2015 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on June 18, 1938 in Taycheedah, the son of Charles and Agnes (Michels) Hess. On October 13, 1962 he married Karen McEssey in Fond du Lac. Joe worked at Mercury Marine for thirty-eight years. He was a huge collector of Coca Cola memorabilia and was a member of the Coca Cola International Collectors Club. Joe was a car fanatic. He loved working on and collecting old cars. He especially loved his 1972 Chevelle. He was a member of the Rev Masters Cruising Club. Joe enjoyed gambling and most of all enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.



SURVIVORS: his wife Karen of Fond du Lac; three children, Jeff (Mary) Hess of IL, Debbie (special friend John) Hess of Fond du Lac, and John Hess of Fond du Lac; three grandchildren, Kyle, Hayden, and Seth; three sisters, Agnes Doyle of Fond du Lac, Millie Krueger of Fond du Lac, and Carol (Larry) Maas of Taycheedah; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Sandra Jean Hess; two sisters, Shirley and Mary; one brother, Chuck.



VISITATION: Friday, March 6, 2015 from 3-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. FUNERAL: Friday, March 6, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the traditional services. Interment will take place at Rienzi Cemetery.
