Joseph F. Brockway, 73, of DeForest, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hosptial, Madison. He was born August 17, 1936 in Fond du Lac, the son of Roy R. and Emma H. Hintzman Brockway. On June 15, 1960 he married Judy A. Vance in Niles, Michigan. Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He worked at Mercury Marine for 30 years, retiring in 1998. Joseph enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, grilling and gardening. He also loved spending time with his family and made it a priority in his life.SURVIVORS: his wife, Judy, DeForest; three children, Julie Small, Peoria, AZ, Janet (Patrick) Thalacker, DeForest, Cynthia Pappas, Fond du Lac; 10 grandchildren, Christopher, Stefanie and Connor Small, Alyssa and Jacob Thalacker, Jessica Walker, Nicole and Christian Pappas, Jonathon and Elizabeth Humbert; six siblings, Roger (Denise) Brockway, Neshkoro, WI, Dale (Wanda) Brockway, Greenville, TN, Rose (Lowell), Saxton, Menominee, WI, Joann Collins, Greenville, TN, Sharon Wheeler, Cheyenne, WY, Diane Davis, Marble, NC. He is further survived by his goddaughter, Traci Brockway; special niece, Susan Walker; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Joseph L. Brockway; one sister, Gladys Brockway; one brother, Roy (Shirley) E. Brockway, Jr.; two brothers-in-law, Gordan Wheeler and Jack Davis.



VISITATION: will be from 5- 7 PM on Friday, May 28, 2010 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Saturday from 10 "“ 11 AM at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Schrankler officiating.
