Joseph F. Reber, 73, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, May 13, 2012 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born April 27, 1939 in Milwaukee, the son of Frank and Frances Yanish Reber. Joseph was a veteran of the US Navy serving from 1957 "“ 1962. On May 4, 1963 he married Sharon L. Skudlarczyk in Milwaukee. Joseph was the Executive Director of the Waupun Chamber of Commerce for several years and most recently worked for Kondex, Inc. in Lomira until his retirement in 2001. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America; Scout Master Troop 748 St. Joseph's Parish; Unit Commissioner Old Flyway District and served on many Boy Scout Round Tables. He belonged to the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, and the Fond du Lac Noon Lions Club. He especially enjoyed serving as a yearly Sturgeon Guard and the City of Fond du Lac Variance Board. Joe enjoyed fishing, history, trivia, reading, sitting on his porch and most of all spending time with his family and friends.SURVIVORS: his wife, Sharon; one daughter, Sarah (Edwin) Louwagie, Eden Prairie, MN; one grandson, Nathan; and his Sunday Buddies. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Barbara Reber.
VISITATION: the family will receive friends and relatives from 4 "“ 8 PM on Friday, May 18, 2012 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at a later time in Minnesota.
