Joseph "Joe" Duel

Joseph "Joe" H. Duel, age 65, of Malone, died Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Hospice Home of Hope. He was born on September 6, 1948 in Fond du Lac, the son of Roy W. and Doris M. (Kinyon) Duel. Joe served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea from June of 1966 until June of 1969. On November 8, 1969 he married Joan King at Presentation Church in North Fond du Lac. They would have celebrated forty-four years of marriage this coming November.Joe worked for Mercury for ten years, Consultants Lab/Agnesian Healthcare for ten years, twenty-three years for the Department of Corrections at Dodge Correctional, and twenty years on the Emergency Response Unit at Dodge Correctional. Joe enjoyed golfing, playing cards, spending time at the cottage on Kusel Lake, and most of all Joe loved spending time with his grandchildren.SURVIVORS: his wife Joan; three sons, Chad (special friend Melissa Rabas) Duel of North Fond du Lac, Adrian Duel of Cross Plains, WI, Jarrod (Angie) Duel of Fond du Lac; friend of the family, Kim Kuechenberg; seven grandchildren, Brooke, Tyler, Anthony, Kayla, Ayshah, Ella Brei, and Gavin; six brothers, Jack (Cindy) Duel, John (Mary) Duel, Scott (Monica) Duel, Terry (Sue) Duel, Jeff (Sandy) Duel, Mark (Debbie) Duel; one sister, Margie Williams; brothers in law and sisters in law, Mary Ann (Dan) Vodgs, Dave (Laurie) King, Paul (Janice) King, Mike (Agnes) King, Tom (Patti) King; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son Adam Christopher, mother in law and father in law Claire and Ann King, and one nephew, Ben King.



VISITATION: Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 3-6 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI. FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 6:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
