Josie Van Veen

Josie Van Veen, age 103, died Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born on July 25, 1908 in Alto, the daughter of Ed and Kate (Smith) Vant Hoff. On December 1, 1930 she married Walter F. Van Veen. He preceded her in death on December 2, 1987. Josie was a member of Faith Ev. Lutheran Church. She was employed at Mendota State Hospital in Madison and Regal Ware in Kewaskum.SURVIVORS: one son, Wayne (Rachel) Van Veen of Campbellsport, three grandchildren, Jennifer (Michael) Gordon of Rochester, MN, Julie (Brad) Stemper of Racine, WI, Katie (Travis) Powers of Oregon, WI, step-grandson Cory (April) Nutter of Fond du Lac, WI, five great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren, special friend Julie Konen of Fond du Lac, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter, and one sister, Dena Schouten.



VISITATION: Monday, December 12, 2011 from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Faith Ev. Lutheran Church, 55 N. Prairie Rd, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Monday, December 12, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Faith Ev. Lutheran Church with the Reverend Joel Gaertner officiating. Burial will take place at Forest Mound Cemetery, Waupun.
