Judy K. Rick

Judy K. Rick, 73, died Saturday, March 31, 2018 surrounded by her family at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. She was born in Fond du Lac on March 31, 1945 to Arthur and Edna (Martin) Genrich. On June 19, 1993, Judy married David Rick in Las Vegas, Nev. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2010.



Judy enjoyed the outdoors. She took pleasure in planting and nurturing flowers, planting a vegetable garden each year and hunting with her family. Judy was an avid reader and loved to gamble (Keno being her favorite). She liked to play sheepshead and solitaire with her family. Working at St. Agnes Hospital for 37 years as a switchboard operator was fulfilling for her and she had coworkers who she considered friends.



She was a loving, patient and wise mother who will be missed by all whose lives she touched.



Survivors include four children, Vicki (Harvey, III) Thibault of Las Vegas, Nev., Sue Gordon of Fond du lac, Daniel Zimpher of Fond du Lac and Tammy Skilling (fiancé Randy) of Hartford; six grandchildren, Jessica, Anna, Jon, Andy, Harvey, IV and Cody; and six great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, David, Alex, Sara, Kailey and Bella. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Edna; husband, David; four sisters, Nancy Knutson, Diane Moore, Shirley Holbach and Sandra Hagman; grandchild, Bobbie Joe Zimpher; great-grandchild, Kirsten Luchinski; and nephew, Keith “Boodie” Moore.



Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du lac, and again at the funeral home on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A memorial service will then follow, beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial in Estabrooks Cemetery will follow the services. Cremation has taken place.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to SSM/Agnesian Hospice Hope and/or the SSM/Agnesian Cancer Center.
