Julia L. "Julie" Rose age 85, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, July 30, 2012 at St. Francis Home. She was born on March 10, 1927 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Gustav and Amanda (Dittman) Bredlau. On June 10, 1950 she married Myron "Mike" Rose at Church of Peace in Fond du Lac. Julie worked at Prange's for many years. She was a member of the Church of Peace, Ladies Aid and a past member of the Blizzard Buzzards Snowmobile Club. "GG" (Great Gramma) loved supporting her family with wonderful food, and attendance at as many of their various school, sports, and other extracurricular functions as possible. "Up North" will not be quite the same, but will always be the most special place for our family. "GG" (in her words) "enjoyed her leadership as a pretty good fisherman. (Ha-ha) Gotcha!" She was well known for her hugs, bringing comfort, caring, and friendship to those who received them. SURVIVORS: one daughter, Karen (Bill) Lewis; one son, Alan (Carol) Rose; both of Fond du Lac; five grandsons, Christopher (Christa) Lewis of Fond du Lac, Jarrod (Kathryn) Lewis-Peacock, of Lawrenceville, NJ, Andrew (fiancé Christine Duncan and her children, Alec and Evan) Rose, Kyle Rose and Kevin Rose all of Kenosha; eight grandchildren, Braelyn, Ashton, and Kendall Lewis of Fond du Lac, Myron, Ayla, Forrest Lewis-Peacock, of Lawrenceville, NJ, Jack and Alaina Rose of Kenosha, one sister-in-law, Irma Bredlau of Fond du Lac, brothers-in-law, Dick (Helen) Rose of Lamartine, Darwin (Pat) Rose of Mt. Calvary, and nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Myron on December 5, 1999, two brothers, William and infant Ludwig Bredlau; three sisters, Mrs. Esther (Harold) Van Gorder, Mrs. Amanda (Walter) Freund, and infant Augusta Bredlau.
VISITATION: Friends may call on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 4 to 8 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and on Friday at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of services. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the U.C. C. Church of Peace, 158 South Military Road, Fond du Lac with Reverend's Jennifer C.M. Dawson and James F.D.
