Julietta Ann Konen, 81, of 33 Fountain Circle, died Thursday, December 14, 2006, at the Hospice Home of Hope. She was born August 24, 1925, in the Town of Taycheedah, the daughter of Joseph and Julia Birschbach Lefeber. On June 22, 1949, she married Francis F. Konen at St. Peters' Catholic Church in St. Peter. He preceded her in death on August 24, 1980.Mrs. Konen was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Mary's Church, the Altar Society, and the Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and the many plants that she raised in her home.Surviving are three sons, Jerome (Diana) Konen of Fond du Lac, James (Jeanne) Konen of Milwaukee, and John Konen of Fond du Lac, nine granddaughters, Melissa Poltrock of Fond du Lac, Jill Konen of Oshkosh, Elizabeth Konen of Fond du Lac, Mary Alice Konen of Fond du Lac, Alana Wesley of Chile, South America, Marissa Wesley of Milwaukee, Elizabeth Ashley Konen, Julie Konen, and Caroline Konen, all of Kenosha, and two great grandsons, Adam and Jerome Poltrock of Fond du Lac. She is also survived by three sisters, Louise Martin of Fond du Lac, Dorothy (Ambrose) Koenigs of Johnsburg, and Betty Koenigs of Fond du Lac, and a brother, Harold (Elaine) Lefeber of Fond du Lac. Further surviving are two sisters-in-law, Alice Dreifuerst of Marytown, and Mary Lou (Myron "Doc") Bartelt of Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Her parents, husband, a sister, Lucille Loehr, and a brother, Elmer Lefeber, preceded her in death.
Visitation for Mrs. Julietta Ann Konen will be on Monday, December 18, 2006, from 9:30 to 11:30 am at St. Mary's Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 am at the church on Monday. The Rev. Dennis Budka will officiate and burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to Hospice Home of Hope. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
