June Marie Solchenberger

June Marie Solchenberger, age 84, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017 at the Liberty House in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She was born on June 21, 1933, in Bayfield, Wisconsin, to the late Elmer and Daisy (Milligan) Barningham and was married to the late John W. Solchenberger for 49 years.

June will be remembered fondly for her generosity and welcoming personality. She assisted with activities at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home for many years and brought smiles to the faces of her colleagues and residents through song and laughter. She believed strongly in maintaining family relationships and looked forward to family get-togethers whether they were near or far from her home. June will also be remembered for her penchant of winning at card games and casinos. June was one of a kind and an inspiration to all whom met her. She will greatly be missed as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

June is survived by her daughter, Alicemary (Daniel); son, John Junior (Nancy); grandchildren, Heather and Michael; brother, Merwin (Ethel); nieces and nephews; other relatives; countless friends and pets.

June is preceded in death by her devoted husband; son Joseph; grandson Patrick; parents; sisters: Fern and Genevieve; and brothers: Frank, Elton, Ronald and Merlin.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday October 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 271 4th St. Way, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Visitation will take place Friday, October 6, 2017 between 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church. Cremation has taken place. She will be laid to rest next to her loving husband at Ledgeview Memorial Park in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
