Katharina Hoos

Katharina Hoos, 89, a resident of Harbor Haven Nursing Home, Fond du Lac for the past eleven years, died there Saturday evening. She was born February 23, 1916, in Bistritz, Romania, a daughter of Martin and Katharine Muller Hoos. She immigrated to the United States in 1956 and became a naturalized citizen on May 14, 1962. Miss Hoos was employed in Food Service at St. Agnes Hospital until she retired. After retirement she enjoyed traveling and returned to Europe several times to visit relatives. Katharina was a member of Church of Our Saviour Evangelical Lutheran. Surviving are her niece, Christiane Hoos Born (Michael) of Fond du Lac, her nephew, Gunther Hoos (Barbara) of Lunenburg, MA, great niece and nephew, Tanya Hoos Crowley and Keyan Hoos, and great great nephew, Aiden Crowley, all of Massachusetts. Also surviving are nieces and nephews in Germany. Her parents preceded her in death.



Visitation for Miss Hoos will be from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Thursday, June 23, 2005, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Church of Our Saviour Evangelical Lutheran. Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 23, 2005, at 10:30 am at the church. The Rev. Duane Wisner will officiate and burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
