Katherine (Kathy) Ann Wagner Matson of passed through the gates of heaven on Sunday, December 28th, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. Kathy was the first-born child of Kenneth and Joan Wagner on September 22nd, 1951. Kathy graduated from Goodrich High School in 1970, followed by her work with the Peace Corps. Kathy lived in theWittenberg area for many years where she was an active member of Community Bible Church, and worked as a CNA at Homme Home. Kathy moved back to Fond du Lac a couple of years ago and joined Cornerstone Worship Center. While being an active member of the Church, she made many friends and stole the hearts of many more. She also worked as a CNA at All About Life in Fond du Lac. While working there, she gavetender loving care to her residents, and the gift of her heart to her co-workers. Kathy had a big heart and everyone she met was attracted to it. She touched the lives of many and she was loved by everyone who met her, and will be deeply missed by all. She had a love of faith, life, her work, friends, family, and of the color purple.Kathy was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, her parents Kenneth and Joan Wagner, 2 brothers, James and William, 1 sister, Laurie, and an infant daughter, Hope Ann. She is survived by 2 sons, Steven Wagner(Becky), Fond du Lac, Harley Matson, at home, sisters Mary Ann (Council Bluffs, Iowa), Lynn Snortum (Dale), Fond du Lac, Patricia Lockwood (Robert), North Fond du Lac, Sue Nett (John),Fond du Lac, and Ann Johnson (Joe), Fond du Lac, and 3 brothers, Douglas, John, and Allen (Julia), all of Fond du Lac. She is also survived by special friends, Annette Peters, Wanda Simac and all her friends at All About Life and Cornerstone WorshipCenter in Fond du Lac, the Bob and Amy Martin Family, Grandma Irma Branchfield, and all her friends from Community Bible Church in Wittenberg.
Visitation will be held at Cornerstone Worship Center 240 N. National Ave, Fond du Lac on Wed, Dec 31, 2008 from 11:00 "“ 1:00 and services will begin at 1:00. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to her memorial fund.The family would like to send special thanks to Kathy's niece Ashley Nett who took care of and did everything for Kathy since she has been sick, also the staffs at Hospice Home of Hope, Manor Care, Heartland Home Care, The Cancer Treatment Center, and St Agnes Oncology Unit.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
