Katherine "Katie" Guyette

KATHERINE "KATIE" GUYETTEKatherine Marie Guyette, 90, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, October 19, 2007 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, under Hospice Care. She was born August 14, 1917 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Henry and Katherine Fiebig Kimmel. She married Marr L. Guyette on May 16, 1936 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. She retired from employment at the Red Owl Store in the early 1980's where she was known as the "Cookie Lady". She was also employed at Infant Socks and McKnight's Drug Store in the 1950's. Katie was involved in politics and ran for County Clerk in Fond du Lac County. She and her husband Marr were members of the Untied Commercial Travelers traveling yearly to convention throughout the United States. She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church and active in the Ladies of Faith.SURVIVIORS: two daughters, Barbara (Jack) Vienola and Karen Wirth; two sons, Louis (Ann) Guyette and Joseph Guyette, all of Fond du Lac; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte Bunker, Fond du Lac and Mary Levezow, Appleton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Katherine Kimmel; her husband, Marr Louis; three sisters, Elizabeth Kreisman, Betty Huck and Anna Kimmel; two brothers, Peter and Henry Kimmel; two sons-in-law, Curtis Parrett and David Wirth.



VISITATION: will be from 4 "“ 8 PM on Monday, October 22, 2007 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Tuesday from 10-11AM at the church. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, October 22, 2007 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Joel Gaertner officiating. Burial will be at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to St. Agnes Hospice.Mom, we will always love you and now you are with Dad forever, Love, Barb, Karen, Lou and Joe.You will be missed by your many relatives and friends as "Kissin Katie" and the "Cookie Lady".Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
