Kathleen A. “Kathy” (Behrens) Leider, 68, died peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac while surrounded by her family.

In 1969, Kathy graduated from the Accredited School of Beauty Culture in Green Bay. On October 25, 1969, she married Randall H. “Randy” Leider of Manitowoc and they enjoyed 48 years of marriage together.

While they lived in Theresa for 15 years, Kathy became very involved in volunteer work. She was a Girl Scout leader, started the Child Find Program, was a Modern Woodman Youth Club leader, a school librarian at CCLT and organized the Bike-A-Thon. After she and Randy built their home on Lake Winnebago, Kathy became involved with the Fond du Lac Boating Club, and over the years held every officer position. For close to 20 years, Kathy coordinated the annual Boating Club Big Brothers Big Sisters boat ride. Along with Randy, she also became involved with the Fond du Lac Yacht Club.
The most important things in Kathy’s life were her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her dogs. She loved socializing and boating. Early in their marriage, Kathy and Randy were founding members of the Kettle Moraine Sport Riders Motorcycle Club of West Bend. Kathy will be remembered for her smile, outgoing personality, and generosity.
