Kathleen A. Knueppel

Kathleen A. Knueppel, 87, formerly of 227 7th Street, died Saturday, January 14, 2006, at the Lincoln House where she had been a resident for the past four years. She was born February 19, 1918, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Herbert G. and Alice Tobin Peebles. On October 01, 1938, she married Charles W. Knueppel in Fond du Lac at St. Joseph's Church. He preceded her in death December 15, 2003. Mrs. Knueppel was a life-long member of St. Joseph's Church, and was currently a member of Holy Family Parish-Sacred Heart Church since 1978. Kathleen also was a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society and Home and School Association of St. Joseph's Church. She was formerly employed by Infant Socks, The Fond du Lac Department Store, Sears, and Becker's Shoes. She was a member of Taylor Park University and loved fishing, playing cards, and being a mom, grandma, and great grandma.Surviving are five sons, David (Betty) Knueppel of Fond du Lac, Richard Knueppel of Racine, Charles (Sharon) Knueppel of Fond du Lac, William (Linda) Knueppel of Fox Lake, and Kevin Knueppel of Fond du Lac, five daughters, Ann (Mark) Miller of Kimberly, WI, Beth (Joe) Peters of Fond du Lac, Sue (Ken) Narlock of Milwaukee, Jane (Dean) Wendt of Fond du Lac, and Karen (Don) Bowen of Fond du Lac, a sister, Mary Jane (Cliff) Chase of Cantonement, FL, a brother, George Peebles of Kaukauna, WI, 29 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, a sister-in law, Audrey Peebles of Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Her parents, husband, two sons, Tom and Joe, a granddaughter, Linda Knueppel, two brothers, Dave and Sherman Peebles, and two infant sisters, Virginia and Helen Peebles preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mrs. Kathleen Knueppel will be on Tuesday, January 17, 2006, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and on Wednesday, January 18, 2006, from 9 am to 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday at the church. The Rev. Victor Capriolo of Holy Family Parish will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
