Kathleen M. Chapman

Kathleen M. Chapman, 93, former resident of Charlesburg, St. Peter, Lamartine, and Rosendale, died Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Juliette Manor Nursing Home, Berlin. She was born August 20, 1918 in Johnsburg, the daughter of John M., Jr. and Thelma E. Strebe Puetz. Kathleen was a graduate of St. Mary Springs High School. On June 8, 1937 she married Alvin P. Emerich at St. Charles Church, Charlesburg and he preceded her in death on November 9, 1959. On December 27, 1961 she married Wayne S. Chapman at St. Peter's Catholic Church, St. Peter and he preceded her in death on August 24, 1999. Kathleen enjoyed sewing, gardening, fishing, traveling, bowling, and playing Sheepshead and 500 Rummy.SURVIVORS: three sons, John (LaVerne) Emerich, Ripon, Gary (Judith) Emerich, Mt. Calvary, Dale (Karie) Chapman, Berlin; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Eleanore Gebhart, Kiel; one brother-in-law, Samuel Curtis. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Alvin Emerich and Wayne Chapman; two sisters, Virginia (Warren) Jodar, Mildred Curtis; two brothers, Robert Gebhart, Wallace Gebhart; one infant brother, David Gebhart.



VISITATION: will be from 9:30 "“ 11:30 AM on Friday, August 26, 2011 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, St. Peter. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, August 26, 2011 at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Juliette Manor and Agnesian Hopice for the care given to Kathleen over the years.
