Kathleen M. Zabel

Kathleen M. Zabel, age 76, of W6333 Silver Street, Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at St. Agnes Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born July 6, 1933 the daughter of Fred and Kaye Mentzel. On September 26, 1970 she married Wayne W. Zabel at First English Lutheran Church, Oshkosh with Reverend Koch officiating. She was a graduate of Oshkosh High School. She worked at St. Agnes Hospital in housekeeping as a housekeeper. Kathleen was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ ,Bethel Circle of Friends and the Fond du Lac Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed camping and crafts.She is the beloved wife of Wayne W. Zabel, Fond du Lac; two daughters, Linda (David) Geiger, Fond du Lac and Julie (Reggie) Hummelmeier, Beaver Dam; two step-children, Richard A. Zabel, Berlin, Linda M. Zabel, Fort Worth, TX; one daughter-in-law, Theresa Schaefer, Menasha; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Randy Schaefer; two brothers, Dwaine and Donald.



VISITATION: will be from 3 "“ 7 PM on Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Monday from 9 "“ 10 AM at church. The funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, November 30, 2009 at Bethel United Church of Christ with Rev. Jennifer C. M. Dawson and Rev. James F. D. Martin officiating. Burial will be held in Lakeview Memorial Park Cemetery, Oshkosh.
