Kathleen R. Stephany

Kathleen R. Stephany, 32, of Chicago, IL and formerly of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Swedish Covenant Hospital, Chicago, IL. She was born July 17, 1980 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Edwin and Donna Kiefer Stephany. Kathleen was a 1998 graduate of St. Mary's Springs High School. In 2002 she graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Minnesota, where she met her husband, Ryan. She married Ryan Cook in Chicago, IL, on November 10, 2011. She was an active member of the Junior league of Chicago. Kathleen enjoyed watching and going to baseball games with Ryan, soccer, kickball and running. She was especially proud of finishing the Chicago Marathon. She also enjoyed traveling, history, reading and enjoying life's adventures with family and friends. SURVIVORS: her husband, Ryan Cook, Chicago, IL; her mother, Donna (Ron Bruce) Stephany, Fond du Lac; one sister, Emily (Aaron) Burkart, Fond du Lac; her father and mother-in-law, Fred and Kathryn Cook, New Hope, MN; two brothers-in-law, Kyle (Dana Bourke) Cook, MN and Guthrie (Sarah Fonville) Cook, MN; two nieces, Keira Fonville and Adelynn Cook; her goddaughter, Lindsay Stephany. She is further survived by her aunts and uncles, godfather, James (K.T.) Stephany, Dennis (Jayne) Stephany, Ron Stephany, Kathleen (Todd) Livieri, Nancy Kiefer, Judy (Don) Blada, Don (Judy) Kiefer, Eugene Kiefer, Doris (Daryl) Morgan, godmother, Karen (Bob) Lowery; numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Stephany; her paternal grandparents, Edwin and Olive Stephany; her maternal grandparents, Andrew and Lucille Kiefer; an aunt, Paula Kiefer; two uncles, Terry Kiefer and Leo Kiefer.



VISITATION: will be from 3 "“ 6 PM on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The memorial service will take place at 6 PM on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating. Cremation has taken place.Memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society.
