Kathryn J. Powers, 77, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at St. Francis Home, Fond du Lac. She was born the daughter of Carl R. and Mary E. Hogan Kietzmann on December 6, 1932 in Manawa, WI. Kathryn was a member of Presentation Parish, North Fond du Lac. On September 3, 1988 she married Robert J. Powers in Green Lake, WI. She worked many years for the Department of Motor Vehicles, retiring in 1997. She was a former President of the North Fond du Lac Girl Scout Softball Association, President and Treasurer of the North Fond du Lac Music Parents, a member of Parents without Partners, and taught CCD at Presentation Church. Kathryn enjoyed reading, traveling, doing puzzles and most of all spending time with family and friends. SURVIVORS: her husband, Robert; seven children, Randall (Sue) Meyers, Ripon, Duane (Linda) Meyers, Sun Prairie, Carolyn (Dave) Canopy, Appleton, Kenneth (Ann) Meyers, Fond du Lac, Gregory Meyers, Sheboygan, Noreen (Fiancee, Roger Gerth) Roehl, Kiel, William Meyers, Fond du Lac; three step-children, Holly Powers, Fond du Lac, Jeffrey (Shari) Powers, Fond du Lac, Lisa (William) Aus, Star, Idaho; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carl (Rona) Kietzmann, New London, Larry Kietzmann, New London; one sister-in-law, Shirley Comens, North Fond du Lac; one brother-in-law, Jim McGinnis, Appleton; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary McGinnis; one brother-in-law, Arnold Comens; her ex-husband, Harold Meyers.



VISITATION: will be from 9:30 "“ 11 AM on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Presentation Parish, North Fond du Lac. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Presentation Parish with Rev. John Simon officiating. Burial will take place at Floral Hill Cemetery, New London on Saturday at 2:45 PM.Memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society in Kathryn's name.The family would like to thank Agnesian Hospice and the staff of St. Francis Home for the care given to Kathryn.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
