Kathryn M. Bintzler

Kathryn M. Bintzler (Phipps), 83, of Fond du Lac went to her Lord on June 29, 2016. She was born on August 7, 1932 in Plymouth, WI, the daughter of Douglas and Cordelia Phipps. On November 4, 1950 she married Gilbert E. Bintzler and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2003. Kathryn made a home for her children. She was active in the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and her church.



She is survived by eight of her nine children, Paula (Dave) Draves of Fond du Lac, Bruce (Debbie) Bintzler of Lomira, Sara Bintzler of Horicon, Sue (Tom) Darge of Campbellsport, Chuck (Jean) Bintzler of Brownsville, Jodi (Wally) Marceau of Fond du Lac, Amy (Philip) Helmrick of Stevens Point, and Greg (Kristy) Bintzler of Lomira; one son-in-law, Dennis Halle of Appleton; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; her sister, Winona (Kermit) Krueger; in laws, Leatha Schecker, Fran (Don) Zautke, Mary Ann Bintzler, Don (Linda) Bintzler, and Effie Plier; many nieces and nephews. Kathryn also leaves behind a very close friend and caregiver, Connie Frederick. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gilbert; daughter, Shelly Halle; in laws, Nick Bintzler, Wilmer Schecker, Merle Plier, Jim (Rita) Hamilton, and Bob (Barb) Bintzler.



The visitation will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Holy Family Church. Burial will follow in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Agnesian Hospice or a charity of one’s choice in Kathryn’s name.



Kathryn wants to thank the nurses on the 4th floor of St. Agnes Hospital, Agnesian Hospice, especially Krista who was most kind to her and the family, the care from Dr. Litman and Dr. Jones, and the special kindness of Effie helping with Kathryn’s care.
